According to data from the China National Commercial Information Center, the sales volume of cold-weather apparel in major large retail enterprises across China surged by 53.5% year-on-year in November 2023, indicating a significant market recovery.
The combined market share of the top ten down jacket brands, including Bosideng, Tamber, and Xuezhongfei, reached 43.6%, an increase of 1.8 percentage points from the previous year. Bosideng led with a 23.9% share.
Products priced between 500 and 1000 RMB dominated, accounting for 65.6% of sales by value. The market is trending towards fashion, quality, and segmentation (e.g., lightweight, outdoor, extreme-cold series), with brands leveraging technology and omni-channel strategies to meet evolving consumer demand.
